Manager, Social Innovation Lab

Job Description/Responsibilities:
|
To lead BRAC’s dynamic social innovation lab (http://innovation.brac.net)
team and support innovation across the organization
Scan for new ideas, resources, and technologies that are relevant to BRAC,
and proactively share them internally; also evaluating these to assist other
programs in making decisions.
Support programmes in evaluating innovation opportunities and engaging in new
pilots
Plan and organize the annual Frugal Innovation Forum.
Generate grants and resources for SIL’s work; from grant writing to donor
relationship; managing relationships with donors and potential donors
Build leadership and management capacity in team members, develop strong team
leaders, cultivate strong sense of team spirit and “One BRAC”.

Educational Requirements:
|
Bachelors’ in any discipline from
a reputed university
|
Experience Requirements:
|
3+ years in development or related
field, ideally would have experience working in a number of different
settings (i.e. non-profit, government, private sector, academia, etc.);
International exposure beneficial; Experience in managing external
relationships, event management, and communications; Management experience
(2+ years); 2+ years experience with grant administration.
|
Additional Job Requirements:
|
Ability to build leadership and management capacity within team members,
support them to improve their communications skills and writing
Strong verbal and written communication skills. English and Bengali preferred.
Resourceful, entrepreneurial attitude; open-mindedness about new ideas
Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability.
Comfortable working across a number of sectors, developing new domain
knowledge and most importantly working in multicultural environment.
